Alex's Journey in Sales Leadership

From humble beginnings in small town central Minnesota, Alex learned early on the importance of dreaming big and working tirelessly to turn those dreams into reality. He left Pierz at 18 to pursue his passion for business, eventually discovering a knack for sales, leadership, and coaching.

During the pandemic, Alex chose to pivot from traditional paths to build something extraordinary—first focusing on his own Dreams then on empowering others to create their own Dreams List and achieve their goals. Today, he leads one of the top sales teams in a $300mil company, where his team sells $1mil+ annually, all while fostering a culture of ambition, growth, and dreams.

Alex is now dedicated to expanding his vision—helping individuals and teams beyond his own organization break free from the ordinary, achieve financial freedom, and unlock their fullest potential through real estate investing, strategic planning, and aggressive action. This journey is just the beginning, and he's excited to help you turn "someday" into "today."

01

Humble Beginnings

Alex spent his childhood in the small town of Pierz, MN - population just over 1,000 people. He learned the values of work ethic, integrity, and loving people.

A multi-sport athlete, Alex had a role on two state championship teams and played state tournament games at the Vikings’ US Bank Stadium and Minnesota Twins’ Target Field.

02

The Dream Job

A childhood filled with Minnesota Vikings memories led Alex to pursue a business degree at MSU Mankato, in part choosing Minnesota State because of their ties to Vikings owner Zygi Wolf. Alex’s dream job growing up was working in player personnel with the team.

One month into college, Alex landed a job with the team as a Guest Experience representative on game days. He fulfilled that role for one season.

03

Cutco Changes Everything

Upon realizing that a career in sports may not be the answer because while working he didn’t get to watch any of the games, Alex began looking into other fields of business.

He took a chance at a sales job, selling kitchen cutlery.

During his three-week window to work on winter break, Alex sold over $20,000 of Cutco products. This was more than any other student in the entire country during this stretch.

Selling Cutco has been the breeding ground for many successful individuals since its founding in 1949. Among the notable alumni are Uber founder Travis Kalanick, Clemson football head coach Dabo Swinney, Facebook’s Metaverse leader Andrew Bosworth, and best-selling author Hal Elrod.

04

Success with Cutco

Alex’s first full year with Cutco was filled with many accolades, including an All-American nod and finishing the year as the #1 new rep in his 20+ state Region.

This led to a 2020 promotion to run his own branch office in St. Cloud, MN. He led that office to 2700% growth, building a sales team to do over $250,000 in three months, despite almost no business leadership experience up to this point. This prompted Alex to leave college and pursue entrepreneurship full-time at the age of 20.

05

Real Estate Acquisitions

Alex made his first real estate investment in the fall of 2020, and acquired his second property one year later.

He now is up to five Airbnb’s among other long-term real estate investments. His portfolio could “retire” him if that’s what he wanted.

He is projecting to reach 30 total units by the end of 2025.

06

Record Breaking Year

Alex’s early successes with Cutco led him to being promoted into Cutco’s Minneapolis Office Headquarters as the Pilot Sales Manager for 2021.

In a down-year for the company, Minneapolis led the way en route to a double Silver Cup finish and an all-time record breaking performance of a $4.7 million sales year.

Alex passes the credit for the success of the office to the sales team, and to Division Manager Dane Espegard. Alex thanks Dane for his leadership, mentorship, and giving him the opportunity to apprentice under him during an incredible year.

07

Building His Own

Following his involvement in the $4.7mil year, Vector Marketing and Cutco awarded Alex the opportunity to build his own organization in St. Paul, MN in 2022. Alex works every day developing professionals in what he views as the premier work opportunity for those looking to develop their personal, professional, and financial skills.

Since opening that office, his sales team has produced over $3mil in sales and was one of the fastest offices to ever reach $1mil in total volume (11 months). Alex has been called one the “fastest rising stars in Cutco”.

08

Book Deal with Lioncrest Publishing

Upon completing a treadmill marathon during the pandemic of 2020, Alex signed a deal with Scribe Media to partner in publishing a book on the journey. During the writing process, the book found a new form.

The Dreams ListUnleash the Extraordinary Power of Turning Someday into Today guides readers through a transformative process of redefining their goals, reshaping their habits, and intentionally designing their ideal lives. The book provides practical steps to help readers break through their limitations, align their actions with their deepest desires, and create a lifestyle that truly reflects their dreams.

Alex teaches dream-oriented lifestyle design, which he learned from Dane Espegard. While most people think ‘I’ll start dreaming when I have more time and money,’ Alex has proven that dream achievement is a function of intentionality and habits, not bank roll.
